Use the Simple Present to express the idea that an action is repeated or usual. The action can be a habit, a hobby, a daily event, a scheduled event or something that often happens. It can also be something a person often forgets or usually does not do.
Simple Present
Presente Simple
Ejemplos: I go to work (Voy a trabajar); I drive my car (Conduzco mi auto); I play tennis (Juego tennis), etc.
No puedes decir Go I? para expresar ¿Voy yo?, ni tampoco I not go para expresar Yo no voy.
Esas dos palabras son DO para las personas I, you, we, you, they y DOES para las tres terceras personas del singular: he, she, it. DON'T es la contracción de DO NOT y DOESN'T la forma contracta de DOES NOT.
Y para respuestas cortas NO DEBES UTILIZAR EL VERBO sino sólo el auxiliar: Yes, I go Yes, I do; No, I do not go No, I don't
Affirmative
subject + 1 > "s" (he, she, it)
I go to New York - Yo voy a New York
He goes to New York - El va a New York
Negative
subject + don't / doesn't + 1
I don't go to New York - Yo no voy a New York
He doesn't go to New York - El no va a New York
Interrogative
Do / Does + subject + 1 ?
Do I go to New York ? - ¿Voy yo a New York ?
Does he go to New York ? - ¿Va él a New York ?
